is like buying stock, you don't just buy for its present price, but also for its value in the future...
HEC Paris ranks number 9 according to Wall Street Journal MBA 2007 international ranking
HEC Paris ranks number 18 according to Financial Times 2008 Global MBA rankings (but... why is the weighted salary more than twice of what I earn?)
I wrote the below when I was still in HEC:
a moment worth memorizing... HEC ranked #22 in the world!
As a HEC MBA alumni, I can only say... sometimes it's not important how it really is, but what you make people believe it is.
PS! Can't write in Chinese by my mother-in-law's computer, will do Chinese version when back in Dublin

hello!
that depends on the companies, the work market, your total profile.... I dont see why you should take MBA if you want to specialise in Finance or are determined to become a banker.
hello Wen, I've been admitted by ESC Lille's pre-ms programme recently, and now majoring foreign languages in Chung-Hsin Uni. I can speak both Eng. and French. I wanna do business in the future, but first of all work in a foreign company. Don't know if you could give me some suggestions? Any sharings will be extremly appreciated! BTW , congratulations with your baby-boy. Fiona
Thanks ;) To be honest I dont know this school.. is it a business school? is it a master degree you'd get? Is it taught in French or English? Anyways, if you speak French fluently then it's definitely a plus when finding a job in France, just bare in mind that work permit is quite essential too... especially in current market condition, probably not too many companies are willing to sponsor foreigners on this. I wrote some articles related to job searching (ex: http://www.wretch.cc/blog/petitnuage/14988341), I think net-work is a key, you'll just need to be very pro-active, if your school has alumni net-work, reach out and see if there's any connections you could get to get a job opportunity. Luck is also important, I myself have been quite lucky... hope the market will get better when you finish school/out to the job market.. I should also have finished maternity leave then and hopefully better career development awaiting for me... bon courage
Best regards, Fiona
Thanks ;) I always believe, as long as you insist and work hard, you'll realise your dreams ;) Hope you'll enjoy your experiences in France!
